This combined course covers a broad range of facilities and emergencies and is suitable for people working in emergency response roles.
Fire Safety Advisor is a course containing a number of units of competency that enables the person successfully completing the training to supervise and manage all aspects of preparing your facility for an emergency. This includes ensuring that the EPC and ECO are in place and operating correctly, chief warden and other wardens are trained and competent, and ensuring that the physical resources and equipment relating to emergency response (such as fire equipment and emergency exits) are in place, maintained and functioning correctly.
Successfully completing this nationally recognised training will result in a Statement of Attainment being awarded for Fire Safety Advisor (QLD).
At present, this course is required in Queensland only, but represents the likely level of qualification necessary when a common level of competence is applied nationwide.
